Hills Youth Set Apart Camp has come around again!!

We are off to Mylor Outdoor Adventure Camp for all kinds of shenanigans...worship, tribal warfare, small groups, delicious food, the giant swing, flying fox and more!

Please note there are two sleeping options this year, sleeping in a dorm with your small group and leaders, or camping where you bring your own swag or tent and camp with peers and leaders from your own gender. Please note that in the camping option, you still have access to showers and toilets.

Our camp speaker this year is Ben Daiton; we are flying him over from Brisbane. He is full of the spirit and has been a Youth Pastor at Gateway Baptist for over a decade, where he has seen God do incredible things through their youth ministry. He is now overseeing the Baptist Churches' youth ministry across the state. We feel so privileged to have Ben Daiton come and bring God's word to us over Set Apart 26.

Please note there are two sleeping options this year, which you select in your rego, sleeping in a dorm with your small group and leaders like usual, or camping with other leaders and youth of your own gender, where you bring your own swag or tent. Please note that in the camping option, you still have access to showers and toilets. *

If your child is in Year 11-12, we are running an optional elective called 'Bless Mt Barker'. It will involve the youth being practical in showing and sharing the love of Jesus in our community. The elective will involve youth being driven off site by their leaders (with multiple youth in each car), ensuring supervision at all times.

Phone Policy: At camp, we want our youth to be as present as possible so we will be having a phone-free camp. In the past, the youth could have their phones during free time, but this wasn't beneficial for our young people's overall camp experience. We trust you will support us in keeping your child's phone at home. Before camp, you will be given numerous phone numbers of leaders in case of an emergency. Young people can also contact you through their leaders’ phones. Despite having this rule, we understand different young people have different needs so we can work with you on an individual plan for your child if that is the case.

Camp Coordinators: This year are Indi Barbour and Jo Moore are our camp coordinators. On camp they are the best points of contact text/call them: Indi 0403 203 905 or Jo Moore 0401 691 894. Thank you for your support, Ben Peters is still the camp Pastor but having other people coordinating logistics will free him up to do what he does best. Jo and Indi will ensure Ben is up to date with all information. *

While I am aware that camp leaders and staff will take all due care, I recognise that accidents may occur. The leaders, staff and supervisors have my authority to take whatever action they think necessary to ensure the safety, wellbeing and successful conduct of the participants as a group or individually (all reasonable attempts will be made to notify parents of any unforeseen emergency).

If I become ill or am accidentally injured, I agree that the camp leaders and staff of the Hills Youth Camp may obtain on my behalf whatever medical treatment I require. I agree to pay all medical expenses.
